Delivery & returns
We will do our absolute best to fulfil your order by the delivery date requested at checkout. This date (or the date by which we know we can fulfil your order) will be set out in the Dispatch Confirmation sent to you via email once your purchase is complete. Unless of course there are exceptional circumstances, like a Force Majeure Event or serious road disruptions due to bad weather.
Delivery windows stated by The Vegan Recipe Box Company are an indication, and not a guarantee of delivery within these hours as these are controlled by our third party courier company. We reserve the right to deliver your order at any point on the day of delivery.
Delivery will be made by our authorised courier company to the address you specify at checkout. If no one is available at your address to take delivery, our authorised courier will follow the delivery instructions provided to us by you. If no ‘safe place’ instructions are specified, the order will be left in an area that the authorised courier company considers safe. The ‘safe place’ location specified by you shall be within the area of the delivery address and shall be accessible to the courier. We will endeavour to follow any delivery instructions you provide but this cannot be guaranteed.
If the personal handover of the order is not possible and no ‘safe place’ is available, our courier may deliver the box to a nearby household or business: your neighbours. These have to be within easy walking distance. You will be notified of such delivery to a neighbour by a delivery notice or via email.
If neither a personal handover nor a delivery to a neighbour is possible, you will be in default of acceptance of your order and I’m afraid we will not attempt a further delivery. You must be responsible for all expenses related to a default of acceptance.
We so want you to be happy with your order. If this is not the case, we will accept returns if the order has been delivered to you ‘not fit for purpose’ i.e. it is incomplete, it is damaged, it is not correct. We will offer an appropriate refund as long as it can be shown that the box you were charged for was not provided as it should have been – and the maximum refund we will offer is the 80% of the price you paid. Refunds are entirely at the discretion of our management team. Returns should be sent to our office address – see website footer.
